Your house has hail damage, there’s no reason you shouldn’t get a new roof paid for.”I told them to go ahead and inspect if they wanted.
They came back two days later, got on the roof, did a full inspection, and confirmed significant hail damage everywhere. They assured me there would be zero cost to me to pursue the claim, they even have attorneys on retainer who fight insurance companies when needed, at no charge to the homeowner.I called my State Farm agent, and with their guidance we filed a new claim using the April 17, 2025 hail date. About 3–4 weeks later, the State Farm adjuster came out. I was out of town, but Southern Guard Roofing was there representing me the entire time. They made sure everything the adjuster saw was documented. It wasn’t easy, the adjuster pushed back, but Southern Guard took control of the situation. Two weeks later, the claim was approved!
From there, everything was smooth and professional. They sat down with me at my kitchen table, walked through all the paperwork, and explained my options clearly. I opted for the upgrade to a 50-year warranty (instead of 30-year) for about $905 out of pocket, absolutely worth it. They also found several boards that needed replacing due to water damage over the years (the house is 20 years old). Originally they quoted a few spots, but it ended up being 13 different places that needed work. Even though it was more than expected, they made me a fair deal and I came out less than $1,000 extra out of pocket total.
