We built FindingList to be the most contractor-friendly directory on the web. No pay-to-play rankings, no hiding your contact info behind a paywall, no locking you into expensive annual contracts. Here's what you get when you claim your listing:

- Direct homeowner contact. When a homeowner submits a quote request from your page, it comes straight to you. No middleman, no lead-reselling to three competitors — we use industry-standard routing that sends each lead to a maximum of three contractors, so you actually have a real chance of winning the job.
- Predictable lead costs. Buy lead credits in packages that match your budget. Credits never expire, and you only pay for leads routed to you — not for tire-kickers.

How the matching works
When a homeowner submits a quote request, our smart routing system distributes it to a maximum of three qualified contractors — the industry standard for home services marketplaces like Angi and HomeAdvisor. Here's the priority:
- Source contractor first. If you submitted the request from a specific contractor's page, that contractor always gets the lead — they earned it.
- Verified or Featured contractors in the same city. We fill the remaining slots with the highest-rated verified or featured contractors serving that area.
- Nearby contractors in the same state. If we can't find three in the same city, we expand to nearby cities in the same state.
Contractors with available lead credits automatically receive and can view the lead's contact info. Contractors without credits see a blurred teaser — they know a lead came in, but need to buy credits to unlock the customer's details. This keeps the system fair and prevents free-riding.
Our commitment to trust
Trust is the foundation of any marketplace — especially one where homeowners invite strangers into their homes. We take that responsibility seriously:
- Verification matters. Our verified badge means we've confirmed a business is real and operating. It's not a guarantee of work quality, but it's a strong starting point.
- Real reviews. We display genuine Google reviews — not curated or paid testimonials. If a contractor has a 2-star rating, you'll see it.
- Transparent pricing. Lead prices are public and niche-specific. Contractors know exactly what they're paying per lead before they buy credits.
- Admin oversight. Our team monitors the platform for spam, fraud, and abuse. Businesses that violate our terms can be suspended or removed.
