But on installation day, after my carpet had already been removed and the crew was on-site, they informed me that the project required additional materials and labor that caused the total cost to more than double. I was told this would level the floors and prevent the need to replace door trims and baseboards. Feeling pressured and assuming they were the experts, I agreed.
That was a costly mistake.
Once the job was “finished,” every door trim in my home was left ½ inch off the ground—the very issue they said this extra work would prevent. After getting multiple third‑party professional opinions, it became clear they had miscalculated the underlayment. It should have been 1 inch, not ½ inch. Now I’m stuck with a multi‑thousand‑dollar project to replace seven door trims so my doors don’t look like bathroom stalls.
To be fair, the installation crew worked extremely hard. They were respectful and clearly put in real effort. But do not engage with them directly—doing so seems to upset Tre, the owner, and it only complicates communication. All decisions must go through him, and unfortunately, that’s where the problems begin.
When I brought the issue to Tre, he refused to take any responsibility or offer any invoice adjustment. His repeated response was:
“The scope of work, including the approved change order, has been completed as agreed. Adjustments to door trim or baseboards were not included in the scope and remain outside of our responsibility.”
The issue is simple: their team created the scope of work. They recommended the materials. They miscalculated. The photos make this obvious.
Also, please read every word of the contract before signing. They include language that discourages honest reviews, and they make it clear they are not responsible for damages. And yes—there will be damages. My walls, doors, and even furniture were affected during the process.
It’s no coincidence that their Google reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The contract is designed to make customers think twice before speaking up.
Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t be fooled by how often they appear in Google search results. This company made a significant error and refused to own it. Mistakes happen—but reputable businesses stand behind their work. This one did not.
A complete lack of integrity.
